This oral training module requires students to develop various speaking skills and the instructor emphasizes creative ideas. Students are especially encouraged to apply their ideas exchanged during class discussion to their presentations and other tasks required for this module. The training of speaking skills is combined with reading and writing practice. Students must be prepared to preview their assigned texts before attending class. All submitted scripts and other homework, unless otherwise announced, will be available for the class to read and discuss as course materials. There are also group projects and other class activities including workshops and film screening as well as lectures from guest speakers.
